Taree Historic Motor Club

About

About the Club

Founded in 1972, the Taree Historic Motor Club offers technical support and a variety of social activities for people interested in classic, vintage and veteran vehicles. We are a Club with approximately 100 friendly members. Prospective members and their partners are welcome to attend meetings and outings, and join the Club. The vision of the T.H.M.C. is to encourage preservation, restoration, and the use of historically significant vehicles. Our specialties include car shows and displays, touring events, and social outings. The T.H.M.C. is a member of the Council of Heritage Motor Clubs.

Club Meetings

The Club has regular meetings held at Club Taree, 121 Wingham Road, TAREE. N.S.W.

Meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month, 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start.

Meetings are held monthly, except January.

They are fairly informal, sociable and an excellent opportunity to network with fellow enthusiasts to discuss technical issues, rallies and shows, past and future outings, members’ vehicles and the classic car movement in general.

Club Outings

The Club holds several outings each month, plus a weekend trip, and a week away.

The Club has a proud history of organising and running motoring events that encourage the enjoyment of driving classic, vintage and veteran vehicles.

We endeavour to take our cars on roads and runs that suit them best, so off the highways and on to the back roads is were we prefer to go. Events include rallies, touring trips and displays, often held in conjunction with other car clubs, to promote classic, vintage and veteran vehicles.

Club Magazine

Every month, the Taree Historic Motor Club publishes its own colour magazine called 'The Talk Converter'.

Our members receive an email version of the magazine.

The magazine is exchanged with many other classic car clubs across New South Wales.
